katikat
Hello, I am very new to Bittorrent and am trying to understand how I can increase my upload speed on my seeding torrents, and what the best torrents to seed would be. I`m attempting to improve my ratio on a private tracker, but my upload speed column is almost always blank, or around 0. Here are my speed test results if that helps- Basically, I need to set up Bittorrent to get the best upload speeds, and I want to know what torrents I should go for to download and seed (what should the seeders/leechers ratio be, how many peers etc.) I am currently using Bittorrent 7.9.7. Any help will be appreciated
Harold Feit
I`m attempting to improve my ratio on a private tracker, but my upload speed column is almost always blank, or around 0. Given the typical downloader ratio on private trackers, you're stuck. No amount of settings changing is going to improve your ratio when there's no one downloading the torrents you're seeding. katikat
I see. So, like I said before, what do I look for when picking a new torrent to seed as far as seeders/leechers peer number ratios go to get a better chance of someone downloading from one of my seeding torrents? Harold Feit
Fewer seeds, more downloaders. Same as with public trackers.
katikat
Are downloaders also leechers? Do I need to pay attention to peers as well?
Harold Feit
"leechers" is technically a misnomer. You can't determine what they are until they finish downloading.
