Guest palloy
BitTorrent 7.2.1, Socks5 proxy: Your-FreedomMy bandwidth is limited by YF to 256 Kbps, but the download is going much slower than that (about 25%), despite having 31 seeders. The messages log for YF has lots of "BLOCKED_PROTOCOL: Stream nnnn terminated : protocol "P2P.BitTorrent.C2C" is blocked on this server", lots of "timeouts" and some "Connection refused". I don't remember it being like this before. Is BT learning as it goes, or will it keep doing this throughout the download ? Is there a way to get it to make fewer "mistakes"?And what is P2P.BitTorrent.C2C anyway ?
Harold Feit
The proxy blocks torrenting. Sorry, not something we can help with.
Guest palloy
Yes, I understand that it is the proxy doing the blocking, but it doesn't block everything. "Normal P2P" seems to be OK. The question is what is different about this kind of traffic ? BitTorrent seems happy to keep issuing requests using this odd protocol - is there a way to tell it not to use C2C ?Is there a way to decrease the timeout value? I don't know if it would improve things, but the number of concurrent threads is limited, so those waiting to time out are wasting threadspace. Harold Feit
This question is better asked of your proxy provider than it is of us, as the log definition doesn't explain exactly what it's blocking.
