iluvpie3
Repeated crashes on this specific computer when torrenting,I dont believe its being caused by my network as other computers have been able to run bittorent perfectly fine. This is the log from the latest crash,if there are any questions let me know I'll do my best to answer them. Thanks!
Harold Feit
netio.sys bluescreens mean either internet security software or network adapter bugs.
iluvpie3
Could a trial internet software be the problem? Norton was pre-installed,but I never bought the full package. And if it is related to network is there any steps you recommend I take?
Harold Feit
Trial or not, it doesn't matter. If it's installed it has kernel level drivers that could interfere. If it's a network adapter issue, check with the computer/network adapter manufacturer for driver updates. iluvpie3
Well, after updating my network driver and looking at the programs known to cause malfunctions with bittorent,I am still experiencing crashes. Was curious if replacing the ntoskrnl.exe would do anything? Or is that irrelevant to the problem?
Harold Feit
No, and attempting to do so manually is EXTREMELY dangerous for the operation of your system.Have you fully uninstalled norton (including running their removal utility)?
iluvpie3
I went to control panel and removed Norton from there, then manually checked my program files and could not find anything regarding Norton. If there is more I can do,please let me know. Also,I am aware Nvidia firewall can cause problems, but I am not sure if this is installed or not. I do have an Nvidia folder, but am not certain if that means it has come with the mentioned firewall. Any clues?
