How to increase speed past 2.1 MB/sec

Hope someone can help me. I have just had a 60 mb/s connection installed at home and it works beautifully (tested the spped using many Speedtest sites). I have only one problem - u torrent. When I downlaod a torrent I still only get around 2.1 MB/s per torrent despite the number of seeds and the speed of them, the same as when I had my 25 MB/s internet connection. I can see a marked difference in upload speed though. IS there some setting on utorrent that I am unaware of that is restricting my download limit????

I am expecting to be able to get between 5.o MB/s - 5.5MB/s for a 60MB/s connection
