I use COX cable 15MB bundle. I did go over my usage this month (cox has a usage limit at 200GB with 200GB allowance... which I just found out about, but I was not told this at all) I am currently using just windows firewall with Peerblock IP control enabled (disabled doesn't change file transfer or upload rate neither does disabling firewall or adding exceptions.)
Harold Feit Posted October 17, 2012 Report Posted October 17, 2012 You are getting your speed test result's rated speed.BitTorrent displays in *byte/sec
gazeofdisaster Posted October 20, 2012 Author Report Posted October 20, 2012 it doesnt seem like it because i have seen my upload go up and when it reach 1k bytes it switches to MB/s
Harold Feit Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Show a speedtest.net test result image please.
gazeofdisaster Posted October 20, 2012 Author Report Posted October 20, 2012 According to this picture which is in kilobytes per second I should be uploading at around 680kB/s but it is stuck at 255-260.
Harold Feit Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Cable providers are prone to use burst-boosting such as speedboost to make those numbers potentially inaccurate.Additionally, demand metrics in the torrents your using may prevent higher speeds, as can bad settings.
