rina120 Posted December 3, 2012 Report Posted December 3, 2012 I am running the latest version of Bittorrent. I am running it on a Mac, so I have no anti virus software. I changed the DNS servers to googles on my laptop and my router. ONE macbook is downloading the file, albeit very very slowlyand another macbook says Hostname not found. Can some one help me please I did a search and everything seems to ask for people's security software and I didnt see anything for someone who isnt running any. Thanks in advance!
rina120 Posted December 3, 2012 Author Report Posted December 3, 2012 I've also just flushed the DNS..still nothing...
rina120 Posted December 25, 2012 Author Report Posted December 25, 2012 Can anyone help me with this problem? Its definately some setting on my macbook pro because I have the problem no matter what network I try to download from.

rina120 Posted December 28, 2012 Author Report Posted December 28, 2012 Hello Harold, I changed all the trackers, DHT was already enabled....same thing happened. Hostname not found. This has been happening only on this computer on my network. IT also happens on other networks. Here is the list of trackers I changed it toudp://tracker.1337x.org:80/announceudp://tracker.ccc.de:80/announceudp://fr33dom.h33t.com:3310/announceudp://tracker.istole.it:80/announceudp://tracker.publicbt.com:80/announceudp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announcehttp://tracker.istole.it/announcehttp://www.h33t.com:3310/announcehttp://bigtorrent.org:2710/announcehttp://r165.server.lu:6969/announcehttp://tracker.coppersurfer.tk:6969/announcehttp://bttrack.9you.com/:8080/announcehttp://coppersurfer.tk:6969/announcehttp://tracker.publichd.eu:80/announcehttp://tracker.yify-torrents.com/announcehttp://exodus.desync.com/announce
rina120 Posted December 28, 2012 Author Report Posted December 28, 2012 I also just checked the other macbook on the network. It uses the same trackers as I previously used and works fine. Connections are all updating and okay. The preferences are identical except for the port number. I simply cannot think of what the problem is.udp://tracker.ccc.de:80 udp://tracker.istole.it:80 udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80 udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80
rina120 Posted December 28, 2012 Author Report Posted December 28, 2012 Thanks for the link to Multi Tracker Ignorance. Thank you also for all of your "help." I was biting my tongue trying to be nice because I find you smug, non helpful and elitist. My problem still exists. You are ignoring the fact that I have the same exact trackers on another laptop in my home that has no problems. You also have no helped at all. Thankfully, I found another community that didnt treat me like an idiot and solved my problem. I'm sure the "community manager" will delete this.
