mikegun
Dear all,Has anyone got the same experience?I downloaded version 7.7.3 earlier today directly from BitTorrent download site. When going thru the installation steps (Clicking Next from the installation's Welcome page), my AVG Free Anti-Virus pops-up with "AVG Detection warning". It detected that the following:Filename: ADKAppsOfferManager.dllLocation: c:\users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\Name: Adware Generic5.PAPI immediately cancelled the installation process and ordered AVG to remove the offending file. I ran antivirus scan to the HDD and found nothing. When I started the installation again, it poped-up the same AVG msg.Is this dangerous? I have been using AVG Antivirus Free for years and updated BitTorrent for numerous times, but never had this warning.Thank you.
MrMemero
Hey mikegun,You're not the only one. I just downloaded BitTorrent when I got the same Detection warning.I don't think downloading bitTorrent would harm my pc so I didn't cancel my installation.I deleted the files AVG showed me were infected.
