Pestolazzi
Hi,I know this error is common and I know there are many threads explaining how to solve it. But I tried everything I could find, and still, every time I download a torrent, it shows "Error: WriteToDisk: Access". I rendered my downloads folder accessible to the Everyone group, and I told BitTorrent to runin win7 compatibility mode...What else can I do?thanks in advance
Harold Feit
Did you give full control to your downloads folder and apply it to all subfolders and files?
Pestolazzi
Do you mean properties -> Security -> Edit? If you did, then the answer is yes, but I don't know how to apply it to all subfolders. And I'm not sure I did it correctly. I clicked 'Edit', and then typed in (in letters, not chosen from a menu) "Everyone".
Harold Feit
There's a checkbox to apply to child objects (it may be in advanced, if you do change it, also disable inheriting from parent objects)
Pestolazzi
I'm sorry, I don't see it. Can you walk me through it please?

Pestolazzi
I've been trying this, but in the 'Permissions Entry for Downloads' the 'apply to' box is grey. I can't edit it. Any ideas?
