Torrent inactive

I am trying to download a torrent on mac and it says it's inactive. Here is a screenshot of trackers

Looks like you have something blocking since DHT is in the "waiting for announce" state.

Have you allowed BitTorrent in your firewall?

I had the same problem and agonized over it for about and hour. I re-installed bittorent, changed my firewall settings in Norton, checked to make sure nothing was blocking my ports, Then a lightbulb went off! My ISP is Comcast/Xfinity and they just provided me with a new router last week.

I logged into the router under admin, went to firewall settings, and did a custom profile to allow ptp. VIOLA!! im back in business.

Long story short, check your firewall settings on your router/modem, the setting may be set aggressivly to block ptp sharing.
