DirtyBaconBoy
Can anyone please tell me what it means when it says Checked as the status instead of downloading?
Harold Feit
It usually means a recent shutdown of the client wasn't clean and the client has decided to re-verify the (partial) files.

Harold Feit
What specific version of BitTorrent are you using?
spamcatcher
I've had that happen to me. It was caused by an interruption in the download flow. I DL to an exterior drive. The cord between the computer and the device became faulty and BT was rechecking everything. If you've got anything with the Toshiba brand on it, likely as not, its at the root of the problem.Btw, after BT "checks" it, it leaves it in a "Finished" status, so you'll have to restart the download from the dropdown menu, or the purple triangle at the top of the BT browser.
