Beamer Smith
I have a limited amout of room on my SSD C drive and I'd like to keep torrent related activity off of it.. When I updated to the "latest" version it installed there without even asking.. I had to uninstall and go back a few versions to properly get it going again (with all the hassel and restoring problems that this entails) Thoughts? Harold Feit
settings.dat in the same folder as the exe, done. Although BitTorrent itself is under 1mbyte in size. The space the program itself uses isn't worth the hassle.
Beamer Smith
ARe you saying that I can move the EXE file and just alter the settings DAT file? Thank you
Harold Feit
if you're going to leave settings.dat where it is, it won't need altering.Just have the bittorrent.exe file and its settings.dat file in the same folder.
Beamer Smith
I just discovered a reason to move off the C drive.. I just reinstalled the OS and in doing so lost all the pointers to my in-progress files.. I was able for the most part to rebuild the download list, the uploads list is gone. I'm now using a copy program to clone the folder from C to another drive as insurance but I don't know if it will help the uploads.
