As an avid 'torrenter' of 20 years, something leaves me puzzled. If a file is made 'available' for d/l [as in listed on various platforms] Why is that file, which I assume was once a seed, not available any more. If the original poster takes it down [I don't know how all this works!!], why is it still listed? Are some files w/ x peers just exchanging bits amongst themselves?   Inquiring [non-technical minds] want to know!   Thanks.

i try to download bittorrent software from bittorrent site and i get server error  i tried to download from google crome, microsoft edge, internet explore and interntet download manager and it says server error/failed  someone can tell me why bittorrent software is not download ?  i think its server promlem in bittorrent site    

I upgraded to BitTorrent Plus. everytime I open the program I see it doing a download in the lower left corner. It downloads to 100% and then i get an error pop up stating   The install of C:\users\Appdata\roaming\BitTorrent\bitdefender.btinstall failed. (Signer Certificate mismatch)   How do I fix this?

Hello, (This is sort of illegal since I am using utorrent, but I cant find anything in the utorrent forums) I got this error as I moved my torrent files from a hard drive to another (I am starting my windows drive from scratch). The error seems to be random, as only a portion of my downloaded torrents seem to be affected. I've been looking around for this error but the only solution available is to remove the torrent from the torrent client and open the .torrent file, setting the download location to the completed location and letting the program recheck the files. Hi, I have been using bittorrent for the last couple of years and have had minimal issues with it. A couple of days ago I up graded as requested, and since then the program constantly freezes/not responding within seconds of starting. I have tried 1) turning the firewall off - worked for about an hour then froze 2) disabled virus protection - no change 3) changed virus protection from Avast to Kaspersky - no change 4) deleted settings.dat and settings.dat.old - worked for about 5min 5) restarted the computer - no change 6) I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program - worked for 10min then "not responding" I have cable internet, the icon in the bottom right hand cor

Hi, Recently I've downloaded a torrent movie and when I played it on my Samsung 4K tv via my external drive  I've noticed can't fast forward or rewind that movie. Is there a way to fix that issue? Thanks for your help. Serge

What would cause my seeds to just vanish

Downloaded Bittorrent 7.7.3 yesterday and it worked fine downladed one video. Suddenly when chose another video/movie, in the status bar...the "Downloading metadata" kept still. Then, I tried to download other movies and see if that would fix anything but, still nothing. It may just be the firefox firewall but, tried to run test on it and everything checked out. I have linksys connection, if that is helpful. In the buttom right of the screen on Bittorrent is a red indicator saying something about the firewall is limited (something like that) and clicked on it, ran connection test and so forth. Again, still nothing and "Downloading metadata" is at a stand still. Currently,

Hi. Well, I accidentally removed about 20 movie torrents from the list in Bittorrent client. They are fully downloaded and still exist in my hard drive. They were downloaded as magnet links, so I don't have the .torrent files. Is there any way to put them again on the client's list, so I can seed them? Thanks in advance.

Dear developers, Will there ever be another update of utorrent/bittorrent translations in the future? Current last update is unfortunately for utorrent build 43085 (utorrent 3.4.9 from 12/13/2016) and thus almost 5 years old ...
